Our Miracle Kids

Abby Anderson

At a young age, Abby was diagnosed with Osteogenesis imperfecta, a brittle bone disease that affects every part of her body. She is now 13 and an energetic, talkative, baby shark-loving girl who refuses to be defined by her illness. She hopes to attend Syracuse University in the future and wants to be a firefighter when she grows up!

Danika and Delilah Bourgeois

Danika and Delilah are twins with Down syndrome, but this does not stop them from dancing, singing, and showing off their big personalities. These girls are full of love and life, and when they grow up, Danika wants to be a dancer and Delilah wants to be a doctor!

Lexi Glenny

Lexi battles Common variable immune deficiency, a disease that attacks her immune system. However, she describes herself as bold and outgoing and her favorite song is “Fight Song”! In the future, she aspires to be a child life specialist.

Archie Kulkus

At seven months old, Archie was diagnosed with Wilms tumor, which is a kidney cancer. After a long surgery, many radiation treatments, and with the help of Upstate medical staff, Archie is now cancer-free! He is a chatty and energetic little one who loves to play with cars and wants to be a drummer when he grows up.

Evan Lambert

Evan battles Chronic kidney disease that developed from complications from birth due to a lack of amniotic fluid. Despite his illness, he is a happy, sassy, country-loving boy who never fails to make us laugh with his contagious energy. He hopes to build large amusement parks for the homeless one day.

Mason and Lincoln Miller

Both Lincoln and Mason have spent time at Upstate due to a head injury from hockey and lacerated spleen, respectively. However, they are both healthy boys now who enjoy playing sports, are super stylish, and love Harry Potter. We’re happy they are still part of our OttoTHON family!

Garett Nier

Garett has Lyme disease, but with the support from Upstate professionals and his family, he now leads a healthy life! He is always full of energy and loves to race go karts against his brother. Garett’s favorite food is pizza, and he wants to be a singer, dancer, and actor when he grows up.

Victoria Pritt

Victoria has Crohn’s and lung disease, but has been in remission for a few years now! She has the most positive outlook on life and when we asked how she would describe herself, she said “sassy.” She enjoys painting, pizza, her family, and swimming on her local swim team!
